Tell us about yourself. What inspires you to live sustainably?
Growing up in India, sustainability was a way of life. Plastic packs of milk were exchanged for garlic and ginger, old clothes for utensils, and the house was always dusted with discarded vests! Paper was re-used, plastic bags were re-purposed even leftover food was converted into something tasty!. I cant think of one specific moment when I said to my-self,” I’m going to be an eco-warrior from now on”. The attitude and inclination have always been part of me.
What’s been the biggest challenge you’ve faced on your journey towards sustainability? How did you overcome it, and what valuable lessons did you learn?
For me, it’s availability definitely. I’m particular about my products and sometimes they are just not available. I’ve learned to just stock up.

What role do you think companies like Shift Eco play in shaping a greener future?
Continue building awareness, getting a buy-in and making people OWN the spaces we inhabit. Also to make it easier for people to make the switch by making it more accessible.
What advice would you give to someone hesitant to start living a more sustainable lifestyle?
Remember this quote ” We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children”. It is our duty to leave a green earth for the future generation.
