Tell Us What Your Brand is About

The Zola Collective is a platform that brings a range of sustainable African products to the  world. Zola means ‘earth’ in Latin and ‘pure’ or ‘tranquil in Zulu. The cornerstone of their  collective is to bring Africa and its sustainable offerings to the rest of the world.

Our mission  is to enable small businesses to scale their operations and export out of Africa through an  ethical supply chain. The sale of each product goes back to improving the community,  whether as water, sanitation, or education and creates a source of livelihood for the farmers. We partner with and mentors female artisans who need guidance on packaging  and retailing their products online.

Founders Story

Misha and Anusha met during their masters in London and both having lived in Africa had a  very strong connection to the place and wanted to make an impact.

Upon a trip to Zimbabwe in 2018 they discovered a vast range of indigenous products, particularly Baobab, that were  harvested primarily by women, it was then they decided to launch The Zola Collective to  popularize such products and empower female farmers.

Why Eco-friendly Products?

Inspired by the impact our business has on employment in African communities, the  environment and the health of our global customers, our vision is to build a fair trade supply  chain of African products.

Africa is abundant in natural, indigenous products that grow in  the while that have a range of health benefits that consumers worldwide are eager to  purchase as ethical and vegan lifestyles gain momentum.

We would like to provide our  customers with unique, natural, ethical and sustainable products while supporting  communities.

What sets The Zola Collective apart from the rest?

We are the first female founded platform in the UAE promoting African natural and  sustainable products

How do you source and develop your products to ensure they are eco-friendly?

We are involved in every step of the supply chain. Our Co-founder Misha, is based in Kenya  and works closely with all the artisans, farmers and microentrepreneurs to ensure not only  the quality of the product but also the sustainability. We know where each of our products  are grown, harvested, manufactured and also understand their carbon footprints.
