1. Tell us about your journey in building Because You Care, what role has community engagement played in your growth?
Building Because You Care started with one simple idea: creating a laundry detergent that’s safe for both people and the planet. From the beginning, community has been at the heart of everything. I didn’t just want to sell a product, I wanted to raise awareness about endocrine disruptors and the hidden toxins in everyday products. Conversations, events, and social media helped me connect with like-minded people who care about their health and the environment. Their feedback shaped the brand, and their trust helped it grow. I also partner with responsible stores that share the same values. Every order placed contributes to collecting plastic bottles from the ocean, which reinforces our shared mission. This journey is not just about business; it’s about transformation, helping people make better choices, step by step.
2. How does your brand collaborate with other organizations, individuals, or communities to amplify your impact?
Collaboration is key to amplifying the impact of Because You Care. I regularly participate in markets across Dubai, meeting people face-to-face, educating them on the hidden toxins in household products, and helping them switch to safer alternatives. Beyond that, I also work with companies, hosting talks to raise awareness about the link between health and ecology. Many people don’t realize how everyday products affect their well-being, and I love seeing that “aha” moment when they connect the dots. Partnering with responsible stores also helps bring Because You Care to a wider audience.

3. What steps do you take to measure and manage your brand’s carbon footprint or emissions? Are you working towards net-zero goals?
Sustainability is at the core of Because You Care, and I’m always looking for ways to reduce our impact. First, our formula is ultra-concentrated, which means less packaging, less transport impact, and less waste. We produce locally to minimize emissions and keep our supply chain as short as possible. Our packaging is reusable and refillable, encouraging a circular approach instead of single-use plastic. Every order placed also contributes to removing plastic from the ocean, balancing part of our footprint. While net-zero is the goal, I believe in progress over perfection, small, consistent steps make the biggest difference.
4. Can you share specific initiatives that have had a measurable positive effect on communities or the environment?

One of our key initiatives is removing plastic from the ocean with every order placed. This has a direct and measurable impact, reducing pollution and protecting marine life. Another important initiative is our refill system, which helps customers reduce waste by reusing their packaging instead of throwing it away. On the community side, my regular talks in companies and markets help raise awareness about the dangers of toxic ingredients in everyday products. Many people have told me they’ve completely changed their habits after learning about endocrine disruptors.
5. What is your mission and vision for the future, and how do they shape your sustainability goals?
My mission with Because You Care is simple: help people protect their health and the planet by making safer, more sustainable choices. I want to raise awareness about the hidden toxins in everyday products and offer real, effective alternatives. In the future, I see Because You Care growing into a global reference for eco-friendly, non-toxic home care. Sustainability is not just a goal, it’s the foundation of everything I do. That’s why I focus on local production, refillable packaging, and constant improvement. My vision? A world where people don’t have to choose between effectiveness and health, because both should go hand in hand.
6. Which Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) does your business align with, and how do they guide your sustainability strategy?

Because You Care aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially:
✅ Good Health & Well-being (SDG 3) – By eliminating toxic ingredients like endocrine disruptors, we help protect people’s health.
✅ Responsible Consumption & Production (SDG 12) – Our refillable packaging and local production reduce waste and carbon emissions.
✅ Climate Action (SDG 13) – We keep our supply chain short and support ocean cleanup efforts with every order.
✅ Life Below Water (SDG 14) – By removing plastic from the ocean, we actively contribute to marine conservation.
7. How do you ensure your sustainability efforts are accessible and beneficial to a diverse audience?

Making sustainability accessible is a priority for me. First, I keep Because You Care products effective and easy to use, no complicated routines, just a simple swap for a healthier home. I also make sure pricing is fair so more people can afford non-toxic options without breaking the bank. Education is key, so I regularly speak at markets and in companies, breaking down complex topics like endocrine disruptors in a way everyone can understand. Online, I share tips and practical solutions, because sustainability shouldn’t feel overwhelming. My goal is to empower as many people as possible, no matter where they are on their eco journey.
8. How would you encourage other brands to build meaningful partnerships that align with their values?
I’d say: start with clarity. Know your values, your mission, and what kind of impact you want to create. Then, look for brands or organizations that truly align, not just for marketing but for real, shared goals. Authenticity is key. I always choose partners who care about sustainability as much as I do, whether it’s responsible stores, eco-conscious companies, or initiatives that clean up our planet. Communication is also essential, being open, collaborative, and finding win-win solutions. The best partnerships feel natural because both sides believe in the same mission. When that happens, the impact is so much stronger.
